Raisel Iglesias - Notches save No. 7 Iglesias picked up the save Thursday against Washington, allowing one hit with no strikeouts over a scoreless ninth inning.
Impact It was a much-needed clean outing for Iglesias, who had surrendered a run in each of his last three appearances and had blown two of his previous four save chances. The 35-year-old has been uncharacteristically bad in 2025, posting a 5.71 ERA in 17.1 innings after notching a sub-3.00 ERA in his last five seasons, including a 1.95 ERA across 69.1 innings in 2024.

Manager Brian Snitker said Thursday that Baldwin could be in line for more playing time going forward.

Impact Abrams notched his sixth home run of the season, tagging left-handed reliever Dylan Lee for a solo shot in the eighth frame. He's been red hot at the plate recently, going 15-for-34 (.441) with two home runs, two doubles and two stolen bases over his last eight appearances. He has a .927 OPS on the season.

AJ Smith-Shawver - Throws six strong innings Smith-Shawver (3-2) picked up the win Thursday against the Nationals, allowing one unearned run on two hits and two walks across six innings. He struck out six.
Impact The only damage against Smith-Shawver came in the sixth inning, when a two-out fielding error by Austin Riley allowed CJ Abrams to score from second base. It was another excellent start from the 22-year-old, who's allowed just one earned run in his last 19.2 innings. On the year, Smith-Shawver has a 2.33 ERA and a 4-:17 K:BB across 38.2 innings. He's in line to make his next start Thursday for a road matchup against Washington.
MAY 16 ROTOWIRE
Trevor Williams - Falls apart late Williams (2-5) took the loss Thursday against Atlanta, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and no walks across 4.1 innings. He struck out four.
Impact Williams allowed one unearned run on two hits through four innings before having a nightmare fifth frame. He hit Ozzie Albies with a pitch to begin the inning, and later allowed three straight singles before being pulled. Williams has now allowed at least four runs in four consecutive starts, and he owns a 6.86 ERA and a 17:5 K:BB across 21.0 innings during that stretch. He's tentatively scheduled to pitch again Wednesday in a rematch with Atlanta.
