Improves to 6-4
Sugano (6-4) earned the win over the Cubs on Tuesday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out three batters over five-plus innings.
Impact
Sugano cruised through five frames, allowing just one run. He remained in the game to begin the sixth and gave up a homer to Michael Busch followed by an Alex Bregman single before getting pulled. Though Bregman eventually came around to score, Sugano got enough support to notch the victory. The right-hander has now yielded three or fewer runs in five straight starts, compiling a decent 4.10 ERA across 26.1 frames during that span. He's been a steady but unspectacular part of the Rockies' rotation, posting a 4.08 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 39:20 K:BB through 68.1 innings spanning 13 starts. Sugano's home park and low strikeout numbers greatly dampen his appeal in fantasy.

Collects fifth win
Sugano (5-4) allowed two runs on five hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out five over five innings to earn the win over the Angels on Tuesday.
Impact
Sugano kept the ball in the yard for the third time in four starts, a span in which he's given up a modest nine runs over 21.1 innings. The right-hander has displayed decent command with a 12:6 K:BB in that span as well, though his limited strikeout potential at tough home park continue to depress his fantasy value. For the season, he's at a 3.98 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 36:18 K:BB through 63.1 innings over 12 starts, which has made him arguably the most reliable Colorado pitcher. Sugano's next start is projected to be a tougher one at home versus the Cubs.

Ambushed early in loss
Sugano (4-4) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over 4.2 innings to take the loss versus the Dodgers on Wednesday.
Impact
Sugano gave up solo home runs to Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman in the first inning, and that was the difference. It wasn't an efficient outing for Sugano either, as he threw just 48 of 83 pitches for strikes. This is just the third time he's given up multiple homers in a start this season. The right-hander has a 4.01 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 31:16 K:BB through 58.1 innings over 11 starts. He's projected to make his next start in a much more favorable road matchup versus the Angels, which should give him streaming appeal in fantasy.

Earns quality start Friday
Sugano allowed two runs on six hits and a walk while striking out three over 6.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Friday.
Impact
Sugano gave up a run in each of the second and fourth innings, but the Rockies' late rallies in the eighth and ninth frames got him off the hook. This was his third quality start of the season, and his first such effort since April 10 versus the Padres. That's mostly come down to not pitching particularly deep into games, though he's had a few bumpy starts after doing impressive work in March and April. The 36-year-old right-hander is at a 3.86 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 28:15 K:BB through 53.2 innings over 10 starts this season. That meager strikeout rate, combined with a brutal home park, will continue to depress Sugano's fantasy appeal. Sugano's next start is projected to be a tough one on the road versus the Dodgers.

Collects fourth win
Sugano (4-3) picked up the win in Saturday's 4-2 victory over the Diamondbacks, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out one.
Impact
The 36-year-old right-hander got staked to a 3-1 lead in the first two innings, and Sugano did just enough to make it hold up before being lifted after 88 pitches (54 strikes). It was a needed bounce-back performance after Sugano gave up nine runs in 10.1 innings over his prior two starts, but he isn't fooling anyone right now -- he generated only three swinging strikes Saturday, he's struck out two batters or fewer in four straight trips to the mound. He'll take a 4.02 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 25:14 K:BB through 47 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road next week in a rematch with Arizona.

Falls to Phillies
Sugano (3-3) took the loss Sunday against Philadelphia, allowing five runs on seven hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out two.
Impact
The Phillies got to Sugano early Sunday, scoring five runs over the first two innings, highlighted by three solo home runs, including two off the bat of Kyle Schwarber. Sugano's now given up nine runs over 10.1 innings in his last two starts after posting a 2.84 ERA across his first six outings this season. Overall, his ERA sits at 4.07 with a 1.19 WHIP and 24:12 K:BB across 42 innings. Sugano will look to get back on track his next time out, currently scheduled to come at home against the Diamondbacks.

Loses steam in second loss
Sugano (3-2) took the loss Monday, allowing four runs on three hits and two walks over 5.1 innings against the Mets. He struck out one.
Impact
Sugano cruised through five innings before running into trouble in the sixth, allowing four runs, including a homer, and being pulled after recording just one out in the frame. After a lackluster 2025 season with the Orioles, the right-hander has put together a solid 2026 after inking a one-year deal with the Rockies in the offseason, posting a 3.41 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with a 22:11 K:BB across 37 innings (seven starts). The 36-year-old is tentatively scheduled to next pitch Sunday against the Phillies.
