Zack Greinke uses glorious eephus pitch to record 12th strikeout in win

Diamondbacks ace Zack Greinke was in total command of all of his pitches as he dominated the White Sox in Monday night’s 5-1 win. And he even dug deep into his bag of tricks to unleash an eephus pitch.

Yolmer Sanchez was the victim of this 65-mph offering that resulted in Greinke’s 12th strikeout of the game.

The only disappointment for Greinke? Manager Torey Lovullo removed him with two outs in the ninth inning – an out shy of his second complete game of the season. However, Greinke improved to 6-2 and lowered his ERA to 2.82.
