The postseason has provided its share of dramatic moments. Miguel Montero added another dimension with one swing of the bat Saturday at Wrigley Field.
With the Cubs and Dodgers tied 3-3 in the bottom of the eighth, Montero stepped in to pinch hit with the hope of playing postseason hero. With two outs, the bases loaded and facing an 0-2 count, Montero did just that.
Montero punished Dodger reliever Joe Blanton’s hanging slider, lacing it into the right-field bleachers for a grand slam.

The blow would be too much for the Dodgers to recover from, as the Cubs went on to take Game 1 by a final score of 8-3.
