Vin Scully honored following final home broadcast, celebrates with team in locker room

After Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager tied Sunday’s game vs. the Colorado Rockies with two outs in the bottom of the 9th…

Charlie Culberson walked off the Dodgers to an NL West division pennant the following inning. As he’s been doing for the franchise since the year 1950, Vin Scully was on the mic for the call.

The home run was bittersweet for Dodgers fans: the euphoria of a fourth straight division crown settled in — as did the realization that this was Scully’s final play call at Dodger Stadium ever.

Following the celebration at home plate, the Dodgers players saluted their long-time, legendary play-by-play announcer:

Scully then spoke to the crowd, a goodbye worthy of the baseball royalty he is:

Just as the Dodgers popped the champagne in the locker room…

…look who arrived for the party!

Vin Scully forever.
