Tigers’ Marc Krauss optioned for bullpen arm
In need of a bullpen arm the Detroit Tigers have optioned Marc Krauss to Triple-A.
RHP Shane Greene is starting Sunday and has put some pressure on the bullpen in recent starts. He hasn't thrown more than five innings since May 25 (five starts) and hasn't earned a win since May 15.
Kyle Ryan has appeared in eight games (five starts) this season with Detroit, holding a 5.64 ERA over 30 1/3 innings.
In 12 games with the Tigers, Krauss hit .152 (5/33) with two RBI.
The #Tigers today have recalled the contract of LHP Kyle Ryan from Triple A Toledo and optioned INF Marc Krauss to Toledo.
