Matt Holliday hits a massive home run that nearly clears Miller Park
St. Louis Cardinals slugger Matt Holliday has hit his fair share of booming homers during his 13-year career. But the one he hit Monday might be his most memorable.
Holliday unloaded on an 0-1 pitch from Jhan Marinez in the seventh inning. The blast — Holliday’s eighth homer of the season — went an estimated 466 feet.
That distance sounds impressive, but where the ball landed was even more eye-opening. Holliday’s homer nearly cleared Miller Park.
The 36-year-old outfielder still has some pop in his bat.
