President Obama congratulates Cubs, invites them to White House

President Barack Obama may be a vigorous Chicago White Sox fan, but he hasn't been afraid to show support for his favorite team's crosstown rivals during their historic World Series run.

On Wednesday night, after the Cubs clinched their first World Series since 1908 — President Obama once again expressed his gratitude for the franchise and what they just accomplished. In addition, he even invited them to the White House before he leaves office in January:

Congratulations to the Cubs — you've not only won the World Series, you've won the approval of the most famous White Sox fan on the planet!
