Phillies starter Jonathan Pettibone to undergo second shoulder surgery
Philadelphia Phillies righty Jonathan Pettibone has experienced a major setback on his road to recovery.
The Phillies announced Wednesday that Pettibone will undergo an interval closure surgery on his throwing shoulder in a few weeks after being forced to leave a simulated game on Monday.

The 24-year-old right-hander, who started 18 games for the Phillies in 2013, had surgery last summer to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder.
