Padres ball girl makes catch of the year on Opening Night
Yes, we know that it’s the first days of the 2014 baseball season, but we’ve already got a contender for catch of the year.
And it’s not from one of the pros.
A ball girl for the San Diego Padres made a pretty impressive catch at the Opening Night game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In the eighth inning, Padres first baseman Yonder Alonso hit a foul ball that looked like it was aiming right for some Dodgers fans sitting at field level.
And the ball girl took her job seriously, stretching over the wall and impressing the crowd along the way.
Take a look:
The fans gave the ball girl a round of applause for the grab and even the announcers were impressed.
The Padres went on to win 3-1.
