Alex Rodriguez salutes David Ortiz with his Red Sox career officially over
The Boston Red Sox lost to the Cleveland Indians Monday night, 4-3, at Fenway Park in Game 3 of the ALDS.
The win completed the sweep for the Indians, as they will go to face the Toronto Blue Jays in the ALCS.
What it also means is the end of David Ortiz's incredible career.
With Ortiz's career now over, Alex Rodriguez -- who is working as a postseason analyst for FS1 -- shared a special message for Big Papi.
"Big Papi is a megastar, not only here domestically but all over the world. He's done an incredible job with the Red Sox. To win three championships, what he's meant on the field, off the field for that community in Boston, what he's done in our homeland back in the Dominican Republic -- he's a guy that we need to have around the game for the next 40 years."
