Mariners 5, Indians 5(10)

Seattle rookie Michael Pineda allowed his first two runs of the

spring in his bid for a rotation spot as the Mariners played to a

5-5 tie with the Cleveland Indians on Friday.

The game was called after 10 innings.

Pineda struck out three over three innings and also cooled off

Indians rookie Lonnie Chisenhall. The 22-year-old, trying to win

Cleveland’s third base job, came in hitting .524. He struck out in

the second against Pineda and again in the fourth against lefty

Nate Robertson.

Pineda gave up an RBI double to Jack Hannahan and home run to

Asdrubal Cabrera.

Josh Wilson drove in two runs for Seattle.
