If you have the chance to sign a player with a nearly flawless stolen base stat line, why not do it?
The Los Angeles Angels did just that by reaching an agreement with Quintin Berry on a minor-league contract for 2016. They’ll invite him to spring training where he’ll presumably have a chance to earn a roster spot for next season.
Berry, 31, has spent parts of four seasons at the MLB level from 2012-2015, and has been caught stealing ONE time in that span (out of 33 attempts, including the postseason).
