All-Star Game culinary specialties

Close to 150,000 fans are expected over All-Star weekend, and Executive Chef Michael Snoke is ready to showcase Phoenix’s best culinary offerings. Levy Restaurants, the official restaurant partner at Chase Field in Phoenix, will be dishing up great sports fare at the MLB All-Star Weekend, July 10-12.

Chase Field, with a capacity of 49,707, is expecting close to 150,000 guests over the three-day period that includes the Legends and Celebrity Game, Home Run Derby and All-Star Game. In addition to 54 concession stands and carts, Chase Field is also home 58 suites, six party suites and private clubs such as the Audi Quattro Club, Arizona Baseball Club and Sedona Club.

All-Star specialties include:

Snake Bites: Habanero chicken and pepperjack cheese taquitos served with ancho-lime dipping sauce;

Enchilada Dog: Chargrilled, footlong sausage, locally made and filled with cheese and three types of chilies and topped with a spicy remoulade and fresh pico de gallo;

Arizona Dog: A Diamonbacks tradition, topped with nacho cheese, chorizo and tri-colored tortilla strips;

Loaded Tamales: Several varieties of homemade beef and pork tamales;

All-Star BBQ Combo: Pork and slow-smoked short ribs, served with barbecue sauce and vinegar slaw;

All-Star Summer Heater: Mortadella, smoked ham and salami sandwich topped with jalapeno-olive relish and pepper Jack cheese, and served smoking hot on grilled focaccia bread with onion rings and fried pickles;

Extreme Loaded Dogs: All-beef hot dogs with creative, flavorful toppings include the Tailgate on a Plate, featuring baked beans, potato salad, BBQ sauce and shredded cheddar; the Big Kid Dog, topped with mac and cheese and fritos; The Heater, served with Buffalo hot wing sauce, blue cheese slaw and celery salt; and the Taco Dog topped with seasoned ground beef, lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheddar, sour cream, and pickled jalapenos.

With the sizzling temperatures baseball fans will also have plenty of beverages to help them stay cool, including: Absolut All-Star Cocktail; Prickly Pear Margarita; Watermelon Mojito; Jalapeno Rita; Sunset Sangria; and, for kids, the Goldfish, available in the Arizona Baseball Club and Strike Zone Lounge.

Did you blow your paycheck on tickets to the game? Not to worry, Chase Field will also offer the Diamondbacks value menu for the All-Star Game, which features hot dogs, corn dogs, popcorn and small soft drinks for $1.50, and $4 draft beer.

  • 35,000 pounds of French fries

  • 15,000 burgers

  • 12,000 pounds of chicken tenders

  • 5,000 pounds of cheese

  • 7,500 tomatoes

  • 350,000 pounds of ice (it is Phoenix in July)

  • 25,000 gallons of soda

  • 20,000 pounds of tortilla chips

  • 6,000 gallons of nacho cheese

  • 750 gallons of sliced jalapenos
