A look at what's happening around the majors Sunday:

SALE TIME

Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale has gone without a win in his first five starts for the first time in his major league career. The left-hander is 0-4 with a 7.43 ERA going into Sunday's outing at Fenway Park against Tampa Bay. Right-hander Tyler Glasnow, who starts for the Rays, has Sale-like numbers: 4-0 with a 1.53 ERA. He has allowed two runs or fewer in all five starts, including last Sunday over 5 1/3 innings against Boston.

GIO IS BACK

A day after finalizing a $2 million, one-year contract, Gio González starts for the Milwaukee Brewers in a series finale against the New York Mets. The 33-year-old left-hander went 3-0 with a 2.13 ERA in five starts with the Brewers last season, helping Milwaukee win the NL Central and make it to the NL Championship Series after he was acquired in an Aug. 31 trade with Washington.

GERMÁN ACCENT

Right-hander Domingo Germán, who entered the Yankees' rotation after ace Luis Severino got hurt during spring training, is 4-1 with a 1.75 ERA going into Sunday's series finale at the San Francisco Giants. Germán already has more wins than he did over the previous two seasons combined.
