Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Jose Reyes will miss at least the next three games vs. Atlanta after leaving Thursday’s game with a sore left oblique in the first inning.

Reyes, who initially sustained the injury last Friday vs. Baltimore, said he has felt no improvement.

"I was playing through it, but I feel like yesterday, and today, it kind of got worse," Reyes told reporters. "I kind of backed off a little bit, because that’s dangerous."

Ryan Goins, who was called up prior to Thursday’s game from Triple-A Buffalo, is expected to take Reyes’ spot in the interim, but he’s more known for his glove than his bat, considering he has a career .215 average in the majors.

It’s unclear if Reyes will require a trip to the disabled list. He will be re-evaluated following the weekend series with the Braves. Toronto has an off day Monday before starting another three-game series vs. the Orioles.
