CLEVELAND (AP) The Indians have agreed to a minor league contract with catcher Luke Carlin, who is returning to Cleveland’s organization.
Carlin’s deal includes an invitation to major league spring training camp. The 33-year-old spent time with the Indians and their Triple-A affiliate from 2010-12. He played in 10 games for Cleveland during that span.
Last season, Carlin played for Triple-A Salt Lake, hitting, .230 with four homers 29 RBIs in 77 games. Carlin has played in 56 career games over four seasons with San Diego, Arizona and Cleveland.
