Former presidents to throw out first pitches

Former Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush will throw

out ceremonial first pitches before Game 4 of the World Series on

Sunday night.

The San Francisco Giants lead the Texas Rangers 2-0 in the

best-of-seven series.

George W. Bush was managing general partner of the Rangers from

1989-94 and maintained partial ownership of the club until 1998,

two years before he was elected the 43rd president.

Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan will throw out the first pitch

for Game 3 on Saturday night, when the series shifts from San

Francisco to Texas. Ryan is part of the ownership group that

recently purchased the franchise from Tom Hicks.

Game 3 is scheduled to start at 6:57 p.m. EDT, the earliest

start for a World Series game in more than 20 years.
