Tigers’ Kinsler scores on weird three-error, one-walk play

Here's the end result of the play.

It should have been just a walk, which is not a rare occurrence when you’re Miguel Cabrera.

What is a rare occurrence is when that walk scores a runner from first. Ian Kinsler was that runner in the first inning of a Tigers-Angels game on Sunday.

Kinsler took off on a full-count pitch to Cabrera. The pitched landed low for ball four rendering the stolen-base attempt moot. Only Angels catcher Hank Conger, in anticipation of a “strike-‘em-out, throw-‘em-out” scenario, chucked the ball into center field.

The rest of the play seemed set to Benny Hill music as Kinsler made it all the way around the bags through a series of Angels’ errors.

See for yourself.
