White Sox ace ‘absolutely lit up’ team president over Adam LaRoche
The Adam LaRoche saga has made some waves before the baseball season has officially begun. LaRoche, a 12-year veteran, abruptly retired earlier this week after team president Kenny Williams told him he had to dial back how much LaRoche’s 14-year-old son was around the team.
LaRoche’s son, Drake, apparently was with the team so much, he had his own locker next to his dad. Adam LaRoche left $13 million on the table when he called it quits.
But it appears many within the White Sox clubhouse were none too pleased with Williams’ decision to confront LaRoche. One Chicago most prominent players — ace Chris Sale — "absolutely lit up" Williams, according to Yahoo Sports.
Heard same as @thekapman: In a contentious meeting, Chris Sale absolutely lit up White Sox prez Kenny Williams over Adam LaRoche situation.

FOX Sports MLB Insider Ken Rosenthal also reported that the incident occurred.
Sale told Williams, unequivocally, to get out of the clubhouse and stay out, per a source. Williams acknowledges meeting was passionate. 2/2

Sale, a four-time All-Star, is one of baseball’s best left-handers. He’s finished top five in Cy Young voting each of the past three years and is currently signed through 2017.
