A milestone strikeout for Burnett

A.J. Burnett has had a very successful 17-year career in Major Leauge Baseball.

The Pirates right-hander has pitched for five teams (Florida Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, Pittsburgh Pirates), tossed a no-hitter, led the National League in shutouts, led the American League in strikeouts, pitched an immaculate inning and he’s also won a World Series.

Burnett has clearly accomplished a lot, but on Thursday night he added another feat to his resume.

Burnett has now struck out 2,400 batters.
