Bieber allowed three runs on five hits and a walk across 6.1 innings Sunday, striking out nine and taking the no-decision in the win over Minnesota.

    Impact

Bieber cruised through six scoreless innings, allowing just one runner past first base before the seventh. However, that inning would be a nightmare. The first five batters of the frame reached base, including two hits and two hit batters before he was eventually removed. Bieber will carry a 3.49 ERA into Friday's home outing against the Royals.

Bieber (8-3) earned the win Saturday at Cincinnati after allowing two runs on four hits over eight innings. He struck out eight and did not walk a batter.

    Impact

Bieber served up a two-run homer to Yasiel Puig in the first inning, but he gave up only two hits across the next seven-plus frames to notch his eighth win of the season. The 24-year-old finishes the first half with a 3.45 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 141:23 K:BB over 112.1 innings to earn the first All-Star selection of his career.

    News

Bieber struck out 11 over eight scoreless innings and allowed just three and zero walks to earn a victory against the Orioles on Sunday.

    Impact

The 24-year-old was outstanding on his way to posting his first win since June 15. This was the third time this year he struck out at least 10 and walked one or fewer batters. It was also Bieber's second outing of the season where he posted more than 10 strikeouts and didn't allow a run. He is 7-3 with a 3.54 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 133 strikeouts in 104.1 innings this season. Bieber will make one more start before the All-Star Game on Sunday in Cincinnati.

Bieber didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 8-6 loss to the Royals, allowing three runs (two earned) on five hits and two walks over 5.1 innings while striking out six.

    Impact

The right-hander threw 63 strikes in 100 pitches before exiting with the score tied 3-3, as he struck out more than a batter an inning for the third straight start. Bieber will carry a 3.83 ERA and 122:23 K:BB through 96.1 frames into his next outing, a rematch with the Royals in Kansas City on July 2.
