Grossman went 3-for-5 with a double, a two-run home run and two runs overall in a win over the Giants on Wednesday.
The switch-hitting outfielder put good wood on the ball in the win, notching his first two extra-base hits of August in the process. Grossman has hit safely in three of his last four games and appears to be rebounding from a 15-game skid that spanned July 22 to Aug. 7, one during which he hit .136 (6-for-44) with 12 strikeouts and saw his season average quickly tumble 18 points to .243.
Grossman is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the White Sox.
Grossman will take a seat with southpaw Ross Detwiler on the mound for the White Sox. Chad Pinder will enter the lineup in left field in his place. Grossman has a .512 OPS in 23 games since the All-Star break.
Grossman is not in the lineup Wednesday against the Cubs.
Grossman will give way to Chad Pinder in left field for Wednesday's series finale with lefty Jose Quintana starting for the opposition. Over his last 10 games, Grossman is hitting just .161 with a .486 OPS.
Grossman went 1-for-3 with a walk and a pair of stolen bases in Tuesday's win over the Brewers.
Grossman singled and stole second in the second inning and repeated the baserunning feat after a ninth-inning walk. He has now swiped eight bases this season -- one short of his career high -- while slashing .253/.346/.372 with five homers and 37 runs scored in 328 plate appearances.
