Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Indians.

    Impact

The home run was just the 10th of the season for Castellanos, who is on pace to fall short of 20 long balls for the first time since hitting 18 in 110 games in 2016. The 27-year-old has at least maintained a solid .283 batting average, but the dip in power has certainly been disappointing for fantasy owners.

Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.

    Impact

Castellanos kicked off the scoring with an RBI double to left field in the first inning, but Boston would come away with a 6-3 victory. The 27-year-old has put together a solid first half, heading the All-Star break slashing .282/.342/.468 with nine homers and 33 RBI over 83 contests.

Castellanos went 4-for-6 with a double, a home run and three RBI in a 6-4 extra-innings loss to the White Sox in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.

    Impact

The 27-year-old's performance helped give the Tigers a 5-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning, but the bullpen couldn't seal the deal, blowing leads in the seventh and 10th before finally giving the game away in the 12th. Castellanos now has a nine-game hit streak going -- he went 1-for-4 in Wednesday's matinee -- during which he's slashing .412/.500/.676 with two homers, four RBI and five runs.

    News

Castellanos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Nationals.

    Impact

He took Adrian Sanchez deep in the fifth inning, just the second homer in June for Castellanos. The 27-year-old has hit safely in five straight games and 11 of the last 12, though, and his .298/.392/.452 slash line on the month is a step up from his overall performance this season. It's been a disappointing campaign so far for Castellanos, but a big second half would wipe that all away.
