Sean Manaea - Making progress in rehab Manaea (oblique) started playing catch from 60 feet Monday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Impact Manaea has been struggling through a right oblique strain that caused him to be placed on the 15-day injured list to begin the season. MRI results from Monday showed improvement, which prompted the veteran southpaw to resume playing catch off flat ground, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters that they'll limit Manaea's throwing to 60 feet for the next 10 days and assess the 33-year-old after that.

Jose Siri - Undergoing MRI, CT scan Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Monday that Siri (shin) is still "pretty sore" and will undergo an MRI and CT scan, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
Impact Siri fouled a ball off his left shin during Saturday against the Athletics and had to be carted off the field. He will go through tests to determine the extent of the damage and the Mets will decide after those results are in whether Siri needs to go on the 10-day injured list. Tyrone Taylor is in center field again for the Mets on Monday versus the Twins.

Starling Marte - Set to lose work with Winker back Marte is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Twins.
Impact Marte had started four of the previous five games at designated hitter, but the surge in playing time seems to be result of Jesse Winker having battled flu-like symptoms for much of the past week. With Winker back in lineup for the first time since last Monday, Marte looks set to occupy the short side of a platoon at DH moving forward. Marte is batting .192 with a home run and a stolen base over his 32 plate appearances on the season.

Jesse Winker - Back in lineup Monday Winker (illness) will serve as the Mets' designated hitter and No. 6 batter in Monday's game against the Twins.
Impact Winker hadn't been included in the New York lineup for any of the previous five games while recovering from flu-like symptoms. After checking out fine following a pinch-hitting appearance in Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Athletics and then resting in Sunday's 8-0 win in the series finale, Winker has now been given the green light to make his first start in a week. A healthy Winker should continue to occupy the strong side of a platoon at designated hitter, while Starling Marte draws the majority of the starts versus left-handed pitching.

Jose Siri - Out again Monday Siri (shin) is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Minnesota.
Impact Siri had to be carted off the field after fouling a ball off his left shin during Saturday against the Athletics. He'll be out of the lineup for a second straight day Monday but has not been placed on the 10-day injured list to this point. Tyrone Taylor will cover center field and bat eighth in Monday's series opener.

Brett Baty - Out against right-hander Baty is absent from the lineup for Monday's game in Minnesota.
Impact The Twins have right-hander Joe Ryan on the hill in the series opener, but the left-handed hitting Baty will nonetheless begin the contest on the bench. Baty is just 5-for-36 with a 15:0 K:BB for the Mets this season. Luisangel Acuna will occupy second base and hit ninth.
