Harrison Bader - Homers as pinch hitter Wednesday Bader (illness) slugged a two-run home run as a pinch hitter in a 5-2 win against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Impact Bader began the game on the bench for the second day in a row due to an illness. However, he felt well enough to pinch hit in the seventh inning, and the veteran outfielder provided Minnesota with some big insurance runs on a two-run blast to left field. Bader remained in the game to play defense after hitting the long ball, so he seems likely to return to the starting lineup soon -- possibly Thursday for the final game of the series.

Byron Buxton - Remains red-hot Wednesday Buxton went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run in Wednesday's 5-2 win over Baltimore.

Impact Buxton gave the Twins their first lead with a three-run blast off Charlie Morton in the third inning. It was the veteran outfielder's third straight game with a homer, and he now has eight RBI over that stretch. Buxton also extended his hitting streak to seven contests, a span during which he's batting .400 (12-for-30) with four extra-base hits.

Jhoan Duran - Nabs save Wednesday Duran struck out all three batters he faced to earn a save against the Orioles on Wednesday.

Impact With Minnesota holding a three-run lead heading into the ninth inning, Duran was summoned to close things out. He did so in impressive fashion, throwing 11 of 14 pitches for strikes and fanning the side in order. After a lack of opportunities limited Duran to just two saves in April, he's already notched three saves through the first week of May. The right-hander has been impressive this season with a 1.10 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 20:8 K:BB over 16.1 innings.

Simeon Woods Richardson - Throws just 61 pitches in start Woods Richardson tossed 4.2 innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Wednesday, allowing two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out one batter.

Impact Woods Richardson had control issues in the outing, throwing just 33 of 61 pitches for strikes. Still, he walked only one batter and allowed just one run through four frames. The right-hander retired the first two batters he faced in the fifth, but after Baltimore then strung together three straight hits for a run, Minnesota manager Rocco Baldelli elected to pull Woods Richardson rather than give him another chance to get the final out he needed to qualify for a win. It was the second straight start in which Woods Richardson has gone exactly 4.2 frames, and he's completed fewer than five innings in three of his past four appearances, which doesn't shine a positive light on his current fantasy appeal.
