Walks four in loss Gilbert (5-3) allowed three runs on four hit and four walks in five innings, striking out six and taking the loss in Wednesday's 4-3 defeat against the Rays. Impact The rookie required 86 pitches to get through five frames, which was pretty good considering the four free passes. Gilbert has certainly cooled down after his dominant stretch in early July, as he's allowed 10 earned runs in his last 13.1 innings of work. Regardless, the righty has shown tremendous promise in his debut season, posting a 4.14 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 67.1 innings. Gilbert is scheduled to make his next start Tuesday against the Rangers.
