Impact Rodriguez continues to figure out big-league pitching after a dismal start to the season, as he's now hitting .323 (10-for-31) over his last nine games. The talented rookie still sports a 26.5 percent strikeout rate during that span, but that's a significant improvement over the bloated 38.6 percent figure he generated in his first 17 contests.

Regardless, he's now up to a .234 average after collecting multiple hits in four of his last nine games, and Rodriguez leads all of MLB with nine stolen bases.

Impact Manager Scott Servais' decision to stick with Rodriguez through some fairly significant growing pains at the plate appears to be paying off. The precocious 21-year-old has now reached safely in six of his last seven games, boosting his season average 75 points to .211 in the process.

The 21-year-old came away with his first career stolen base in Monday's 4-0 loss, but he's otherwise had a rough introduction to the majors. Through four games, Rodriguez has gone 1-for-14 with one walk against seven strikeouts.

Impact Seattle produced very little offense Monday, and Rodriguez was one of only two Mariners to reach third base as a result of drawing a walk, stealing second and advancing another base on a throwing error in the third inning. The theft was the first of the talented rookie's big-league career, but he showed plenty of acumen in that area with 21 steals in 26 attempts between High-A and Double-A last season. Rodriguez is off to a rocky start at the plate in the majors, however, going 1-for-14 through four contests.
