On base four times Monday
India went 3-for-5 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 7-5 extra-innings loss to the Twins.
Impact
While he did a great job getting on base at the top of the Reds' order, India had trouble staying there -- he got picked off first base in the seventh inning after a leadoff hit, then was thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double in the ninth, baserunning errors which might have cost his team a win in regulation. The 24-year-old rookie still has four multi-hit performances in his last eight games, slashing .355/.474/.484 over that stretch with a homer, two steals, three RBI and four runs.

Collects three hits
India went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Saturday's 7-5 loss to San Diego.
Impact
All three of the second baseman's hits were singles. India has been boom or bust lately -- in his last six games, he has three multi-hit efforts and three 0-fers. The 24-year-old is slashing .262/.371/.412 with six home runs, 29 RBI, 27 runs scored and four stolen bases across 225 plate appearances as Cincinnati primary leadoff man.

Knocks sixth homer
India went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Thursday's 6-4 loss to San Diego.
Impact
The rookie second baseman put Cincinnati ahead with a two-run blast off San Diego closer Mark Melancon in the ninth inning. While the lead didn't last, the homer snapped India's streak of 10 games without a long ball. He's up to six homers, 29 RBI, 25 runs scored and four stolen bases across 57 games, which helps add up to a respectable .781 OPS through 216 plate appearances while often batting leadoff.

Reaches base four times
India went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, a run scored and a walk in Monday's win over the Brewers.
Impact
India has hit safely in four straight games and has also reached base at least twice in three straight contests, so he's been making quite an impact at the top of the Reds' order. The second baseman has hit safely in all but two of Cincinnati's games this month, hitting .357 with two homers, four doubles, six RBI, 11 runs scored and a 9:9 BB:K during that stretch.

Gets second straight leadoff look
India will start at second base and bat leadoff Sunday against the Cardinals.
Impact
He'll top the order against a right-handed pitcher (John Gant) for the second game in a row, signaling that India has supplanted Eugenio Suarez -- who will hit sixth -- for the leadoff gig. India ignited the Cincinnati offense in Saturday's 5-2 win, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in what was his third straight two-hit performance.

Homers in second straight
India went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, double and walk in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Cardinals.
Impact
India's third-inning homer off Johan Oviedo marked the second baseman's second long ball in as many games and his fifth of the season. His pair of hits extended his hit streak to four games and brought his slash line to a solid .261/.367./428 on the campaign. He'll look to stay hot in Sunday's series finale against the Redbirds.

India is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Nationals.

Sitting Sunday
India is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.
Impact
Max Schrock gets the nod at second base in the series finale, ending a streak of 10 consecutive starts for India. Over that span, India slashed .265/.359/.471 with two home runs, a stolen base, six RBI and four runs to provide value for fantasy managers who stuck with him during a month-long dry spell. India looked in danger of losing hold of his everyday role at second base earlier this month, but the 24-year-old looks to have regained some security after Nick Senzel (knee) and Mike Moustakas (heel) were both recently moved to the 10-day injured list.

Work picking back up
India will start at second base and bat sixth Tuesday against the Giants.
Impact
Shortly after his return from a brief stay on the COVID-19 injured list earlier this month, India appeared to have lost hold of the everyday role at second base, as Nick Senzel had started to get more work at the position. India's playing time is back on the rise over the last week, however, as he'll be making his sixth start in a row Tuesday after going 5-for-17 with a pair of home runs, three walks and a stolen base over the previous five contests. India has benefited from Mike Moustakas (heel) missing the last three of those games, so the 24-year-old won't be a lock to stick in the everyday lineup once Moustakas is cleared to rejoin the lineup.
