Promoted to majors The Marlins selected Conine's contract from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday.

Impact Conine will be called up to the big leagues for the first time in his career. He was drafted by the Blue Jays in the second round of the 2018 MLB Draft, and he was sent to the Marlins in September of 2020 as part of the trade package for Jonathan Villar. In Triple-A this season, Conine is slashing .264/.347/.472 with 59 runs scored, 19 home runs and 68 RBI across 438 plate appearances. The move corresponds with Xavier Edwards (back) being placed on the 10-day injured list.

Set to join major-league roster Conine is expected to have his contract selected from Triple-A Jacksonville on Monday, Craig Mish of the Miami Herald reports.
