Springer went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, two walks and another run scored in Wednesday's 11-2 win at Angel Stadium.

    Impact

Springer launched a three-run shot off reliever Luke Bard in the fifth inning to extend Houston's lead to 11-0. Despite missing some time with a hamstring injury earlier this year, Springer has made the most of his at-bats, posting 21 home runs, 55 runs scored and 53 RBI while slashing .302/.389/.600 over 65 games.

Springer went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs, three runs scored and three RBI in the Astros' 9-6 loss to the Angels on Monday.

    Impact

Springer checked in with his 19th and 20th long balls of the season, touching up Justin Anderson with a two-run shot in the sixth inning before adding a solo blast off Ty Buttrey in the eighth. He missed some time with a hamstring injury, but Springer is having a fabulous season at the dish, slashing .306/.389/.601 over 248 at-bats as he continues to be a dynamic force atop Houston's lineup.

    News

Springer is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

    Impact

Springer wasn't dealing with any reported injuries heading into the series finale, so he's likely just getting a breather after starting each of the past three days in addition to playing in the All-Star Game on Tuesday. Jake Marisnick will occupy Springer's usual spot in center field.

    News

Springer went 2-for-4 with a double in Thursday's loss to the Rangers.

    Impact

Springer was one of the lone bright spots for the Astros to kick off the second half of the season, accounting for two of his team's seven hits on the night. The 29-year-old is now hitting .306 with 18 home runs and 46 RBI over 60 games this year.

    News

Springer went 3-for-7 with an RBI in Sunday's extra-innings win over the Angels.

    Impact

In an odd turn of events, the Astros' leadoff hitter didn't score a run despite reaching base three times and despite his team scoring 11 runs. Still, the day put a nice cap on a first half in which Springer finished with a .303/.384/.589 slash line, numbers which would be career bests in all three categories.
