The Boston Bruins scored a 1-0 Game 7 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday night to clinch the Eastern Conference crown and set up a clash with the Vancouver Canucks in the Stanley Cup Finals. The conference finals featured a pair of much-hyped matchups, but they both turned out to be no contest. The Miami Heat wrapped up their series with the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night after just five games to join the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals — a rematch of the 2006 title series which the Heat won 4-2. This time, Dwyane Wade has LeBron James as his sidekick instead of Shaquille O’Neal. Game 1 is Tuesday night in Miami.

Capped by a doubleheader on Sunday, the BoSox split the twin bill, winning the first game on a David Ortiz pinch-hit homer in the ninth before being shut down by Justin Verlander in the nightcap.
