The only place to start
Jackie Robinson's widow, Rachel Robinson, was on hand for the Yankees' tribute to her late husband in New York on Sunday night, prior to the Bombers' game against the Los Angeles Angels at Yankee Stadium. It was a fitting spot for Robinson, whose husband made history 65 years ago when he debuted with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The Yankees also feature the only active player in the majors to currently wear Jackie's No. 42, Mariano Rivera. While the future Hall of Fame closer was not needed in Sunday's blowout, Yankees Robinson Cano (left) and Derek Jeter took part in the pregame ceremonies. Though Robinson's No. 42 has been retired by MLB, every player in the majors wore the number on Sunday in what has become an annual tradition.
