Goes two scoreless in second startWoodruff threw two scoreless innings in his second start of the spring Friday. He allowed five hits, struck out one batter and walked none.
ImpactWoodruff allowed a few too many runners to reach base Friday, but he did keep the ball in the park after allowing two homers in his first spring start. He figures to start two or three more times before the regular season gets underway.

Testing hamstring SaturdayUrias (hamstring) is running the basepaths Saturday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
ImpactThe Brewers had previously said that Urias could return to Cactus League play over the weekend, but he isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rangers. However, he's doing some running on the side prior to the spring matchup. It's not yet clear whether the 23-year-old will return to the lineup for Sunday's contest against the Mariners.

Uneven start FridayArrieta allowed two runs on four hits and three walks across 3.1 innings in Friday's Cactus League game against the Brewers. He struck out two.
ImpactArrieta was not as sharp as he was in his first spring start, when he tossed two scoreless innings with just one hit and one walk allowed. On a more positive note, the veteran recorded his first two strikeouts of the spring and increased his workload. Arrieta will likely serve as the No. 2 starter behind Kyle Hendricks in his first season back with Chicago. He'll be looking to rebound from the 5.08 ERA and 1.51 WHIP he posted in nine starts last season.

Hit hard againKimbrel allowed four runs on two hits and two walks while retiring just two batters in Friday's Cactus League game against the Brewers.
ImpactIt's been an awful start to the spring for Kimbrel, who has a 30.38 ERA across three appearances (2.2 innings). The veteran reliever is reportedly working through some mechanical issues in camp, so perhaps he can figure things out and right the ship soon, but he's not inspiring any confidence at the moment. If the struggles continue, the Cubs could turn to Rowan Wick (ribs) or Brandon Workman to close out games.
