ST. LOUIS — As for Rams general manager Les Snead’s talk that Sam Bradford will be returning to the team for the 2015 season, well, not everyone seems to be buying it.
At one St. Louis-area store, Sam Bradford jerseys are going cheap.
And they sure aren’t buying his jersey.
"Deleting him (from the roster) is not the answer," Snead said several times in a media session at the NFL Scouting Combine on Wednesday.
Well, a suburban St. Louis sporting goods is trying to delete its stock of Bradford jerseys. At this point, unsuccessfully.
Dick’s Sporting Goods in Chesterfield had a rack full of Bradford No. 8s priced for $10 on Wednesday. Even for youth sizes, that’s a bargain when compared with the $69.95 price of a Bradford kids jersey on nfl.com.
Still, the jerseys don’t seem to be moving. A week ago, the rack of Bradford jerseys was situated front and center in the middle of a main aisle. By Wednesday, the rack had been moved to the team sports section but remained stocked with all youth sizes.
Bradford missed all of the 2014 season after tearing his left ACL in the preseason. He also blew out the same ACL seven games into the 2013 season.
