Blues reveal roster for prospects tourney in Traverse City
ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Blues will be among eight NHL teams playing in the 2016 NHL Prospects Tournament, and the team announced its roster Friday.
The Blues’ roster will consist of several of the organization’s top prospects, including forwards Ivan Barbashev and Jordan Kyrou, defensemen Vince Dunn and Jordan Schmaltz, and goaltenders Evan Fitzpatrick and Ville Husso.
The tournament runs from Sept. 16-20 in Traverse City, Michigan.
Before leaving for the tournament, the players will practice on Thursday, Sept. 15, at noon at St. Louis Mills.
The seven other participating organizations are Carolina, Chicago, Columbus, Dallas, Detroit, Minnesota and New York Rangers. The Blues will be a part of the Gordie Howe Division, along with Columbus, Chicago and Detroit. The Ted Lindsay Division comprises Carolina, Minnesota, Dallas and the Rangers.
The clubs will participate in a three-game round robin. The winners of each division will earn a spot in the championship game Sept. 20.
