Klim Kostin, one of the St. Louis Blues‘ top prospects, has been assigned to a club in the Kontinental Hockey League.

Kostin will play with Avangard Omsk but will be eligible to rejoin the Blues for next season’s training camp and regular season. The Blues want Kostin to get some game action before then.

The 21-year-old Russian forward was a first-round draft pick in 2017. He has 29 goals and 53 assists (82 points) in 181 AHL games and one goal in four NHL games.
