SIUE comes up just short in 70-69 loss to UT Martin

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. -- Delfincko Bogan scored 21 points and Fatodd Lewis scored in the lane with 11 seconds left and UT Martin ended a six-game losing streak with a 70-69 win over SIU-Edwardsville on Saturday.

Daniel Kinchen missed the potential game-winner in the closing seconds for SIUE.

Terrance Parker and Dominque Williams both added 14 points for the Skyhawks (7-14, 2-6 Ohio Valley Conference) on combined 12-of-17 shooting. Williams also had 11 rebounds.

Jalen Henry had 21 points and David McFarland had 18 for the Cougars (7-12, 3-5).



There were 10 ties and 12 lead changes in the game, but after Bogan put the Skyhawks ahead at the 2:28 mark and Henry regained the lead for the Cougars with 2:12 left, both teams missed on their next two possessions, three from 3-point range.

UT Martin went 0 for 5 behind the arc in the second half after going 4 of 8 in the first half. SIUE went 1 of 9 after a 10 of 18 first half.
