Mizzou’s Shane Ray expected to enter NFL draft

Shane Ray was the SEC defensive player of the year and led the conference in sacks with 14 1/2.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Missouri junior defensive end Shane Ray is expected to enter the NFL draft.

The school called a news conference Tuesday for Ray, but did not elaborate. Ray was SEC defensive player of the year and led the conference in sacks.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Ray is expected to be an early first-round pick. He was a second-team All-American.
