It was only a year ago that Mizzou guards Jordan Clarkson and Jabari Brown were slashing to the basket and raining threes (well, Brown was, anyway) to lead one of the Southeastern Conference’s more respectable offenses. Yes, the Tigers’ season ended in the NIT and the team fell short of expectations, but hey, compared to the 9-22 debacle of this season, those guys were looking pretty good.
And now Clarkson and Brown are about to be reunited in the backcourt, this time in Los Angeles. The Lakers have signed Brown to a 10-day contract.
Brown, who was not drafted after his junior season at Mizzou, has been playing for the Los Angeles D-Fenders, a Lakers affiliate in the NBA Development League. He is averaging 24.4 points per game.
