Royals recall Tim Hill from Omaha

The Kansas City Royals filled an empty roster spot Monday, recalling left-hander Tim Hill from Triple-A Omaha.

Hill opened the season with the Royals but was optioned to the Storm Chasers on April 9 after allowing two earns runs over two innings (five appearances).

Hill takes the spot vacated Sunday by pitcher Glenn Sparkman, who was optioned to Omaha. Sparkman is 0-1 with an 8.10 ERA in 6 2/3 innings spanning three appearances this season.
