Arkansas’ Grable wins 2 titles at NCAA gymnastics
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) Arkansas’ Katherine Grable won two national titles and Florida’s Bridget Sloan captured the third of her career at the NCAA women’s gymnastics championships.
Grable won the floor exercise with a 9.9625 and tied with LSU’s Rheagan Courville for first on the vault in Sunday’s individual competition.
It’s the second straight year Courville has shared the vault title. Both scored 9.975s.
A 2008 Olympian, Sloan won the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.9375. She won the all-around and balance beam titles last year and had helped the Gators win a share of their second straight championship on Saturday night.
Co-champion Oklahoma tied the Gators again with one title. Taylor Spears won the balance beam at 9.925.
