Tiger Woods spent his weekend at the Ryder Cup wearing an earpiece and being kicked out of team photos, and according to fellow United States vice captain Jim Furyk, Woods' absence from golf was a running joke among some of the members of the team.

In a interview with SI Now's Ryan Asselta, Furyk said that Tiger was "involved dramatically" behind the scenes, and was frequently a target of jokes.

Woods, of course, recently delayed his comeback to December at the Hero World Challenge. In a recent interview with Charlie Rose, Woods said that he still plans on breaking Jack Nicklaus' all-time majors record.

"To be honest with you, no," Woods said when asked if he could catch Nicklaus' mark.

Asked by Rose if he has accepted that, Woods said, "I've accepted I'm going to get more."
