Ryan Palmer finds clever way to buy rounds for fans at Phoenix Open
Ryan Palmer, for one, hasn’t let the PGA Tour stop him from interacting with the crowd at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. The Tour imposed a new rule this year at No. 16 at TPC Scottsdale’s Stadium Course that prohibits players from throwing objects into the crowd.
Palmer decided to hand off a dozen unique souvenirs instead.
Palmer tweeted a picture Thursday morning of a golf ball wrapped up in a $10 bill. He signed 12 such golf balls in blue ink and also penned, "Have a beer on me!"

It’s an interesting tactic for crowd interaction at the notoriously loud and unruly 16th — a hole also famous for alcohol consumption among crowd members.
