The coolest part about winning on the PGA Tour is this letter from Arnold Palmer

Billy Hurley III got into Tiger Woods’ Quicken Loans National on a sponsor’s invitational and won his first career PGA Tour event in June, vaulting himself up nearly 500 places in the world golf rankings and securing a full-time spot on the PGA Tour.

The $1.2 million winner’s check is a nice prize, but Hurley also received a priceless letter from golf legend Arnold Palmer after his breakthrough victory. Palmer has made it a tradtion to write letters to players congratulating them on their success, and Hurley was looking forward to his note from The King.

Palmer’s been known to send letters to LPGA and Web.com Tour winners as well.
