Garcia will not face any sort of ban after being disqualified from the Saudi Invitational, Martin Dempster of The Scotsman reports.

    Impact

The Spaniard was kicked out of the Saudi Invitational for damaging greens in the third round, but it appears he will face no further consequences as a result of his actions. Garcia reportedly apologized to all parties involved with the incident, so the European Tour brass opted to move on from the issue instead of doling out a suspension. No word has come out as to when Garcia will play next, but fortunately he will have nothing holding him back from returning whenever he chooses to do so.

    News

Garcia was disqualified Saturday from the Saudi International after admitting he committed serious misconduct by damaging greens in the third round of the tournament, Martin Dempster of The Scotsman reports.

    Impact

Garcia is believed to have damaged five greens during the third round, which prompted complaints from the four groups who played behind the Spaniard. Prior to his dismissal, Garcia had finished at even par through three rounds, putting him well out of contention in the tournament. According to Dempster, it's believed that Garcia is the first player to receive a disqualification for damaging greens in an European Tour event.
