Sun Sports celebrates Heat Week with larger than life statues, NBA Finals replays

MIAMI, Fla. — With the start of the regular season just over a week away, it doesn’t get any bigger than Miami HEAT basketball in South Florida. This week, thanks to a partnership between Sun Sports and PrimeTime Amusements, the “really big three” are being brought directly to fans in honor of HEAT Week.

PrimeTime Amusements built larger than life versions of the Miami HEAT’s LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. The massive statues, reaching 18-, 16- and 20-feet, are made from Styrofoam, hard-coated and professionally painted. In support of Sun Sports’ HEAT Week programming and to build a buzz around the start of the regular season for the defending NBA Champions, the statues will appear in a new, iconic South Florida location each day from Oct. 22 – Oct. 29.

Media are invited to come out to any of the below locations to photograph and film the statues, as well as interview excited HEAT fans. Fans are invited to come out and take pictures with the statues using #HEATWEEKSEEK, as well as to meet the FOX Sports Florida Girls at select locations and receive free, Sun Sports branded rally towels. Additionally, HEAT fans can tweet using #HEATWEEKWIN throughout the week for the chance to win admission for two to opening night.

HEAT Week on Sun Sports will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 22. with more than 50 hours of HEAT programming, including replays of all four 2013 NBA Finals victories. A full schedule of NBA Final re-airs can be found below.
