With an encouraging 2014 season and blockbuster contract building momentum for the organization, the Miami Marlins announced their upcoming spring training schedule.
Pitchers and catchers will report on Feb. 20, 2015, with the first full-squad workout set for Feb. 24.
The Marlins will play 19 games at Roger Dean Stadium and 30 overall. The exhibition slate opens March 2 against Florida International University, followed by the University of Miami on March 3. Both games will be at 1:05 p.m.
Grapefruit League action begins March 5 with the St. Louis Cardinals. The Detroit Tigers (March 15), Atlanta Braves (March 20), Minnesota Twins (March 22), Boston Red Sox (March 24) and Houston Astros (March 28) will all visit once.
Miami will play against the Washington Nationals on April 1 before traveling to Greensboro, North Carolina, to take on the Single-A affiliate Grasshoppers on April 3 and Double-A Jacksonville on April 4.
The Marlins will host the NL East division rival Braves on April 6 to open the 2015 regular season.
