MIAMI (March 26, 2019) – As Miami prepares for the much-anticipated return of Marlins baseball, FOX Sports Florida, the exclusive television home of the Marlins, is excited to announce its extended coverage of Opening Day on Thursday, March 28. FOX Sports Florida’s live coverage of Opening Day will start promptly at 3 p.m. with a special, one-hour pregame show from Marlins Park. A broadcast team of eight will provide extensive analysis throughout the day as Marlins broadcasters Paul Severino, Todd Hollandsworth, Jessica Blaylock, Craig Minervini, Tommy Hutton, Jeff Nelson, Gaby Sanchez and Kelly Saco prepare to start the season on FOX Sports Florida. As in past years, fans tuning in will enjoy comprehensive coverage of all the pregame festivities on the field, including the traditional introductions of the team and coaching staff.

Opening Day will also showcase the debut of the network’s new set location inside Marlins Park. Marlins CEO Derek Jeter is scheduled to join the broadcast during the pregame show, while Marlins President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill is scheduled to join Severino and Hollandsworth in the broadcast booth during the game. Additionally, the pregame show will feature a one-on-one sit down interview with Marlins Manager Don Mattingly and a must-see segment featuring Opening Day starter José Ureña in his native Dominican Republic during the offseason.
