It’s too early to tell how quickly Miami Heat rookie point guard Shabazz Napier will adapt to the NBA game, but it looks like he won’t have a problem putting the ball in the basket if his trick shots are any indication.
Back in early August, Napier first impressed with a casual behind the back three-pointer at the Panini rookie shot.
On Thursday he was it again, nailing a halfcourt shot from a seated position after wrapping up an afternoon practice with several teammates including Udonis Haslem, Danny Granger, and Chris Bosh at the AmericanAirlines Arena.
Even though he had an up-and-down summer league, Napier will soon have the opportunity to show why Pat Riley moved up in the first round of the draft to acquire the former UConn Husky. With seconds left on the shot clock, the team might benefit having the ball in Napier’s hands.
